Sorry for the late notice but I was wondering if anyone was available for a game or two this Saturday the 15th at or after 4:30pm? Would like to come in and check out the shop and would love to do that while playing a game of 40k. Let me know, I play Space Wolves and am fairly new to the game.
Thanks, -Stu

No worries, I didn't come in I was just posting to see if someone was available before I drove over. This Friday the 21st should work for me but the earliest I would be able to get there is 7pm. Let me know if that works for you, what race you play (SW here) and what point game you would be interested in.
Thanks, -Stu

As for what Armies I play: Right now I am getting back into my Dark Eldar after playing Space Morons... erm... Marines for the Badab War Campaign, so I would prefer to run them as I am trying to work the kinks out.
As for points level: I can do anything from 400points to 4000 points (I might be able to go higher but not without severely violating the TO). Realistically, I am most comfortable at 2000-2750, and have been running a 2000 point list for the past three or four games. At any rate, not knowing what you have to work with, I will let you dictate the points level.
I will be at the store around 6:30p and will set up terrain in advance so we can get right into it. DO you have a terrain preference? Urban, Forest, Ruins, Desert, Flat table with no cover, lol...

It should be noted that I can field the following armies at the listed points levels: Dark Eldar (up to 4000 points) Eldar (up to 4000 points) Grey Knights (up to 3000 points) Imperial Guard (up to 20000 points and no I am not joking) Necrons (up to 1500 points) Orks (up to 1000 points) Space Marines (up to 4000 points with two different forces) Tau (up to 2500 points)

I may stop by to hang out if I don't have other plans pop up. I'll bring an army too. I suggest smaller points for a refresher

I would agree... of course, getting whalloped by two Space Wolves players at once might be a bit disconcerting, lol. I would probably suggest something in the 1000 point range since we will be doing really small battles the next week during escalation.

I know the hours are posted until 10 so not sure if three hours will be enough to do anything over 2000 pts. I have no problem with you running 2000pts of Dark Eldar as I have only played them once and got owned so I would love to try a new strategy. I have no preference in terms of terrain layout so please play what you enjoy =) I will make sure to have a 2000 pt SW list ready to go when I arrive on Friday. Thanks again, -Stu

No problem 2000 Points Dark Eldar: HQ: Duke Sliscus (will be attached to Elites Trueborn squad) Troops: 6xWarriors (5 Rifles, 1 Blaster) in Raider with Flickerfield 6xWarriors (5 Rifles, 1 Blaster) in Raider with Flickerfield 6xWarriors (5 Rifles, 1 Blaster) in Raider with Flickerfield 10xWyches (7 Wyche, 1 Razorflail, 1 Shardnet, 1 Hekatrix w/ Grenades and Agonizer) in Raider with Flickerfield 10xWyches (7 Wyche, 1 Razorflail, 1 Shardnet, 1 Hekatrix w/ Grenades and Agonizer) in Raider with Flickerfield Elite 9xTrueborn (7 Carbines, 2 SpCannon) in Raider with Flickerfield & Disintegrator 10xBloodbrides (6 Brides, 2 Razorflail, 1 Shardnet, 1 Syren w/ Grenade launcher and Agonizer) in Raider with Flickerfield, Chainsnares 6xIncubi in Raider with Flickerfield and Chainsnares Heavy: Ravager with Nightshield and Flickerfields Fast Attack: 4xReaver Jetbikes (2 Bikes, 1 Cluster Caltrops, 1 Blaster) Tactica: Entire army in reserve, Raiders and Ravager to Deep Strike via Duke Sliscus' Planetary Raid ability while Reavers will enter from the Backfield (hopefully later in the game for late objective contesting). Warrior Raider Squads are there to pop the transports, nail Dreads, and slam tanks while getting shot to pieces. Once transports are popped, Wyches, Blood Brides, Incubi and Trueborn slaughter infantry. Ravager is there to deal with any unpleasant Heavies out there.

Alright so this is my first time playing against Duke Sliscus and...wtf That is going to be a pretty crazy strategy and a quick first turn. I have only ever seen that done by a friends Tyranid army so I am excited to play this battle. I will make sure to look over the DE codex and learn some more so we can jump right in. Until tomorrow, -Stu

The Duke is an interesting Special Character. His Special Abilities are: Serpent's Bite: Two Venom Blades with special venom, counts as two CCW with 2+ Poison (counts as Power Weapon on 5+ to wound) Serpent's Venom: One Squad counts all splinter weapons as poison 3+ instead of 4+ (in this case it will be the Trueborn). Contraband: Roll two dice for the combat drugs and choose which applies. Low Orbit Raid: All Raiders, Ravagers, and Venoms can Deep Strike Basically the idea is to keep everything off the board and strike piecemeal. This means that new units will be constantly emerging and shooting things to bits Of course, with three Longfang squads to worry about and the fact that my Raiders are little better than tinfoil boats, I suspect that it will be less awesome than it has been traditionally, lol.

7pm start time with 2K means only one game to be had if it's a refresher. If I can stop by, I'll bring an army anyway.

I would be willing to bet that there will be other 40K players around and about as well, so it should be OK Seriously Fridays are generally pretty well populated with various and sundry players.
