Over the past several months I've noticed the increased interest and popularity of EDH/Commander. Most people that play this format say the same thing, "this is the most fun I've had playing Magic"
Due to this, I am taking it upon myself to organize a formal social league for multiplayer EDH/Commander games.
The first step towards organizing a league or club is identifying interested players and reserving generals for your primary deck. I know some of us have multiple decks, but it is important to identify one deck as your main deck and one commander. This will eliminate duplicate commanders and cause issues with game play due to the 'Legends' rule.
Once we have a healthy roster, we should decide on a night and time to meet and play. I am throwing Wednesday night at 7pm out there, but we can discuss this as a league.
For those of you not familiar with EDH/Commander rules check out this website: mtgcommander.net/rules.php
Wizards is now partnering with the developers of this player-created format and are offering new products starting in June. You will be able to buy a complete commander deck for around $30.
Please reply to this thread if you are interested. If you know your general and main deck, reply with that as well and consider him/her reserved for your play.
As your organizer, I get to register myself and my kiddos first (any complaints regarding this can be taken to committee :-P).
JUSTIN HERING - COMMANDER: RAFIQ OF THE MANY (W/U/G)
ANJA HERING - COMMANDER: SHARUMM, THE HEDGMON (U/W/B)
STEPHEN HERING - COMMANDER - DARIEN, LORD OF KJELDOR (W)
Let's get this going!!!
