When Jace was around, there were many creatures that weren't very good, cuz Jace could just bounce them and be done with them. I figure I should go through some of them and give you reasons why you should play them and shouldn't play others.
HERO OF BLADEHOLD- This card is NUTZ!! Its great against aggro, because it makes you win against aggro (he doesnt die to lightning bolt) and he makes more creatures than they can produce in most cases. Its great against control because it FORCES them to play a wrath effect or just lose. Its loses some value against Valakut and Splinter twin because they dont care as much alot of the time about you playing him because they go off faster than he can kill you
PHYREXIAN OBLITERATOR- In a world where aggro is played more than anything else, this guy kicks ass. Unfortunatley, he dies to dismember, but who doesn't right now?
STEEL HELLKITE- Now, there are alot of varying opinions on this guy, but I have to say I think its pretty good, and does things wurmcoil cannot. The wrath effect is good against aggro. And he kills planeswalkers too. It just seems to me like Wurmcoil engine is also good against aggro and doesnt get wrathed. Hellkite does have evasion though, making him a little better to fight control
I think this is a great time for brewing and new cards, so please give imput on creatures people werent before considering so more people can build better and newer decks

Moltensteel Dragon comes to mind. I think this guy is good enough for competitive play as he put a lot of pressure on early game.
All the Titans are better now, and all the control decks I've seen try to finish with one of the big 6/6s.
Any big, green stompy thing is now better. I think Green Beatz will be a deck with M12 and the new Garruk. When you give green access to draw tons of cards, it becomes very tough to beat them.
Consecrated Sphinx...this card is so stupid. I need to figure out how to squeeze a copy into my U/R control deck. He hits the field and you opponent just deflates in their chair. Maybe the best control creature ever? You draw one, I draw two...there's the Mana Leak I was looking for!
