A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
I was going through some old boxes and found my core rulebook for Star Wars, Revised. This is the version most similar to D&D v3...with feats, skills, and d20 based.
Is there any interest from gamers at the store to participate in a Star Wars campaign. I would prefer running a game during the Rebellion Era for a few reasons: 1) I am most familiar with the canon from that era, 2) I think that era provides the most intriguing political and social elements for rich storytelling, 3) I do NOT want to run a campaign with 4-8 force players (Jedis and such) and 4) Episodes I-III kinda sucked a little.
I really know very little about Old Republic aside from some high level history, so that would be a challenge for me to run expertly.
Just so you know, I am an experienced GM (D&D, Star Wars, Shadowrun, LOTR Roleplay) with a tendency towards story-driven adventures with a good balance of role play and combat. I tend to interact in the first person with players during encounters.
So, let me know if you are interested. I would think we could play once or twice a month, tops.

It would depend on the day/time really, but I would be interested in a Rebellion-era game, given the givens (especially since I have the books). Much like yourself, I am not as enthused by the other eras... also I am a bit of an Empire fanatic, so, depending on the side we are running on, I may trot out an older character...

The first adventure I have in mind would cater more towards fringe characters, with no allegiance either way. Character actions and choices could lead towards more interactions with either the Rebellion or the Empire, or both!
I don't particularly like to tell people what to play, class-wise in a group, but I would prefer only one force-adept, force-sensitive character in the party. After all, the Empire wiped out or recruited most force users during that time. I could create a pretty good backstory for an adept character, based on what the player wants.
I would obviously try to entwine the story with the galaxy-shaping events of the movies and books and start the campaign right around the start of episode 4.
