TOURNAMENT RULES:
• WARHAMMER Fantasy – 2500 points.
• 8th edition rules and FAQ's.
• No back of book lists (no appendix lists).
• No Forge World army lists or rules.
• No Special Characters or Named Characters.
• Armies are to be fully built (WYSIWYG).
• 3 rounds of games, list must remain static during the tournament.
Games:
Each round of games will be a different scenario from the back of the
8th edition rulebook. Players will learn which scenarios will be played
when they receive their tournament packets.
Scoring:
Win = 15 points
Draw = 10 points
Loss = 5 points
Battle Modifiers:
The following game modifiers will be awarded for each game.
- Killing the enemy general - +1
- Killing the enemy BSB - +1
- Unit with the highest point value is still alive - +1
- Enemy unit with the highest point value destroyed - +1
- Your general is still alive - +1
Sportsmanship:
Each player will receive a sportsmanship score of 0 – 5 for each game played.
Restrictions/Banned Items
- The Book of Hoeth and Power Scroll are banned from the tournament.
- In each Magic phase, a player can use a maximum of 12 power/dispel dice. Even if an ability or item would generate would allow the player to generate more than 12 dice, the player can only use 12 dice.
- Look Out Sir!: Characters will get "look out sir" versus the following spells that automatically kill models or automatically remove an entire regiment: Dwellers Below, Final Transmutation, Dreaded 13th, Infernal Gateway 11-12 effect. Normal requirements for lookout sir apply
Painting Scores:
Players will receive a one time painting bonus for the following:
50% or greater painted (models or points) with minimum of 3 colors - 3 points
100 % painted with minimum of 3 colors - 10 points
Additional points:
+1 - 50% or more (models or points) are fully based.
+2 - 100% are fully based.
+2 - Player has a themed display board.
Schedule:
11:00am - 1:30pm Round 1
1:30pm - 2:00pm Lunch
2:00pm - 4:30pm Round 2
4:30pm - 7:00pm Round 3
7:00pm - 7:15pm Clean-up
7:15pm Award Ceremony
Prize:
The prizes pool will be made up of the participant's entry fee. Prizes will be awarded in the form of a store credit.
Awards will be given for the Best General and Best Painted Army.
