With the new cards I've tried some things and have seen and played against certain things. And with my first glance on the new cards these are my conclusions.
1) Knights is good. Dropping a treat every turn is how the deck works. turn one student of warfare then next turn either attack for 3 or drop a paladin or a squadron hawk. then turn 3 mirran crusader or knight exemplar and then the battle becomes uphill. And hero of bladehold NEEDS to die before she can attck cuz its rough when she gets her first attack. after two attack, you just start losing
2) the White Zenith is alot better than it looks. I'm working on a tokens deck and the card seems to work reaily well. turn 5 is good cuz its an instant, turn 6 its really good, turn 7+ you gain such a significant advantage.
3) Hero of Oxid Ridge is nuts. my UW squadron hawks cant stop him and neither can wall of omens, battlement, plant tokens, joraga treespeaker, birds etc. Any deck that has a bad match up against red deck, now has an even worse one with this guy.
4) The troll is AMAZING. the only way i see to battle him is to day of judgment him the same turn you play him, which rarely works anyway because the regeneration has mana open because he's probably in a ramp deck.
5) Green zenith is really good in elves. 1G-play whatever you need and put him into play. nuff said
6) Blue gets no major cards to play with. (Tezzeret doesn't have a home yet, so he doesn't count)
7)I love Pithing needle guy (Phyrexian revoker) being able to turn off jace the mind sculptor (or any planeswalker for that matter), Ezuri's overrun, fauna shaman, dragonlord and so on.
