Hi slcstephen, No worries, you are still quite welcome to join. The next session will be 1/27. If you want to arrange a time to meet up and put together a character, please let me know. I will be jumping into the action pretty quickly at the start of the next session. Thanks, Todd Hey Todd, I could stop by a little earlier, maybe around 5, if that works. I'm thinking of taking a personal day too, so if that happens I could be in even earlier. Stephen

Still on, raring and ready to go:) See y'all when I arrive.
Aside to SLC: I would love to try to make it in early, but I get out of work at 5:30p and I work in Paramus, so I likely won't be up there until around 6p. I will try to leave early today (I was in first and should be able to leave a bit early), but it will depend on how many contracts and offer letters I have in my queue.

Hi Chulak,
I will be in the store tomorrow for the Personae game and again on Friday for a 40K match with Josh, and I would be happy to go over character generation with you either day. I will also be in the store next Wednesday for the Drawing a Crowd comic discussion. The party is currently composed of: BillyBob - Trooper Cromwell (Guardsman) JBugman - Dreg Onan (Scum) Joe Cirillo - Killer Paziel (Assassin)
There is also an adept named Josiah Marioc hanging around.
I will have last session's notes typed up here soon, I promise, I have been mired at work the past few days (failed my difficult paperwork test).

People often lament about being the ones left behind, however I can state with near absolute certainty that I will never be one of them. If the tale relayed to me by friend Onan is to be believed, I am thankful that I was left with crewman Goldt to guard the hatch from Frame 13 to Frame 14.
Apparently, after moving into the parts of the ship contaminated by the Warp, my companions moved aft through the less traveled spaces. While they realized that this would take longer, I believe that they felt that safety was more important than speed in this endeavour. Luckily, they happened upon a Damage Control Panel, which Crewman Jamez was able to bring online. This panel illustrated that the issue experienced by the bridge was caused by a shearing in the control runs between the bridge and main engineering. Unfortunately, to repair this fault, the crewmen needed to obtain repair materials from the Machine Shop and bring them to an exposed section of the ship's Main Corridor, just above the keel control run.
Fighting their way bravely into the Machine Shop, my companions killed a number of mutated crewmen, driven mad by bloodlust and a horrifyingly insatiable appetite for flesh... by which I mean the mutants, obviously, not my companions. Onan used a fair number of bullets in the battle, and Cromwell was judicious in his use of his lasgun, while Paziel... well, he is frightening with that blade of his! Anyway, the crew took a few losses, but were ultimately able to fabricate the parts that they needed. Under Cromwell's direction, they activated the fabbers in the machine shop in order to draw the mutants away from the area of decking they needed to work on, then set about repairing the control runs. Once main power and control was restored to the aft sections of the ship, the Captain activated Servitors throughout the ship, and they began mercilessly butchering the mutants. It is likely to take some time to properly clean the areas aft of Frame 13, and I am reluctant to return to our cabin because of it.
It was at this point that we learned that our abrupt transition to real space left us without any way to determine a course back to civilization! The Captain had determined that we would be best served allowing our Navigators and Astropaths work together to determine a course, however that could take weeks, and we would likely run out of food well before they were able to do so. The Purser, a dour fellow named Salvio Brontus, however recommended that we instead examine the derelict starship nearby and see if some charts could be salvaged from it.
Onan, Cromwell, and Paziel alternately charmed and bullied the captain into allowing the Purser to take a team over and see if perhaps they could find some charts, or perhaps even resupply of food. The ship, an ancient Commonwealth Battleship, obviously crippled during the Empire's glorious Crusade to free the Lupus Cluster from the misguided rulers who had led them from the Emperor's true light, was obviously well beyond any reasonable idea of salvage, but perhaps there might have been some items hidden away in its twisted structure. We could be hope and pray to the Emperor.
Thankfully, I was left behind on the shuttle as my companions took a pair of Tech Priests inside along with the scavenging party. That was the last I heard from them, and I do hope that they are alright...

Thank you very much, Scott:)
I will be posting a write-up of last session tomorrow, however here is some Lupus Cluster information:
Stellar Cartography & Expanded History
Located in the area where the Halo Stars region abuts the Ghoul Stars to the Galactic North and anti-spinward of Dimmamar, the Lupus Cluster is a dense stellar cluster filled mainly with older F, G, and K-type main sequence stars. Shannedam County contains roughly 30 inhabitable planets (though some stretch that definition) and 25 stars with no habitable worlds. In addition, there are hundreds of small Asteroidal and deep space colonies including a half dozen massive space hulks and the supremely complex super-station Etna.
It's location in one of the most desolate backwaters of the Empire of Man meant that secession and security during the Horus Heresy (circa AD 30,000) were easily obtained. As it was a fairly insignificant area, the Lupus Cluster was ignored by both the Empire and the forces of Chaos, and the entire Cluster was lost in bureaucratic filings in the centuries after the rebellion and the mortal wounding of the Emperor.
2,000 years ago information on the region was rediscovered, and exploration ships were sent to determine what had happened to the long silent Lupus Cluster. At the end of their long journey, the Empire of Man's scouts were shocked by what they discovered. What they found was a pocket empire ruled by the descendants of Emil Brax, and Imperial Army Grand Marshal. World after world in an inter-stellar community, working for a strong central government and keeping to themselves for fear of drawing the attention of the forces of Chaos or the forces of the Empire.
In AD 37,451 The Empire of man dispatched a full Ordo Hereticus team with support of the Black Templars, the Adepta Sororitas (Sisters of Battle), the 13th Vostroyan, the 421st Cadian, the 555th Valhallan, and 121st Mordian Guards under the combined leadership of Inquisitor Aldus Denarius, Brother General Espirito, Grand Admiral Mastricht and Grand General Anselm Keserdal. Although the Lupus Cluster had robust defenses and a rather large army, the Crusaders under the guide of the Holy Inquisition had numbers, experience, and the Emperor on their side. The war for the Cluster lasted barely 115 years and was considered among the most successful pacifications in the Inquisition's history. Victory was presided upon by the leadership of the newly elevated Grand General Gyorg Shannedam, who took over for Keserdal in the last years of the pacification campaign.
The people of the Lupus Cluster grudgingly took their place amongst the citizens of the Empire, and though they were held in check by force of arms, they cooperated with the invaders and the occupation forces. As the Empire exerted its influence with priests of the Adeptus Terra and the Cult of the Machine God taking over the education of the masses, people began to become accustomed to their new roles.
After ruling the Cluster as Sector Governor for nearly 60 years, Gyorg Shannedam died at the hands of an assassin. The people were told that the Grand General died of old age in service to his Empire, but rumors persisted. Most top aides were told that the murder was at the hands of an anti-Empire group, but the truth was that the assassination came at the orders of Inquisitor Bartholomew Addis. Inquisitor Addis saw that Shannedam was lightening the iron grip of the Empire in order to foster better relations to the subject worlds. This had made him popular, but also meant that he was dangerously close to falling into apostasy by allowing these former rebels too many freedoms too soon. It was also rumored that the Grand General had adopted too many of the manners and ideas of the original Lupus Cluster government, influenced no doubt by councilors and advisors from the rebel faction. A governmental purge was quietly carried out while the people mourned their well-respected Governor.
Several years after the death of Gyorg Shannedam, the people of the Cluster decided to rename the capital county in his honor, thus creating Shannedam County (as well as four surrounding counties which were named Keserdal, Denarius, Mastricht, and Espirito). Over the centuries, the old ways slowly succumbed to the ways of the Empire, and the cult of the God Emperor took root firmly. The discovery of large deposits of valuable minerals and ores eventually lead to Rogue Trader families striking out for the Lupus Cluster in the hope of riches and reward.
Now, in the 41st millennium, the Lupus Cluster is a populous, and prosperous area. Under the tutelage of the Priesthood and the Inquisition, most of the worlds have embraced the Empire's ideals. While most planets are Imperial or Hive worlds, there are still a few Feral planets out there, beholden only to the occasional tithe ship that lands to take on psykers and supplies. Most planets are ruled by a Baron who takes the role of Imperial Governor, and a few of the local corporations have the same structure. This means that Industrial Barons often vie against Planetary Barons for influence with the Sector Governor.

What started as the office of the Sector Governor two thousand years before turned eventually into the Ministorum office of the Lord Sector roughly 500 years after the death of Gyrog Shannedam. Unlike many Adeptus Terra offices, the role of Lord Sector of the Lupus Cluster has been a hereditary one for nearly 1,500 years. Passed from father to son, and sometimes from familia to familia within the Great Houses of the Sector, the office has been dominated almost exclusively by the rather devout Sanguarelli family for the past few decades. The current Lord Sector is Ferdinand Sanguarelli, a bluff, square jawed man of little humor and few words. He rules Shannedam County and the Lupus Cluster with a bit more of a forcefully iron fisted policy than is normal for this relatively quiet backwater. It is rumored that the familia Sanguarelli is may be looking to replace him with his younger brother Antonius, who is far more level headed.
House Alda
House Alda maintains complete control of the planet Mysia, reaping huge profits from both Prometheum mining and Gennium-Arsenic crystal mining as well as the operation of multiple factories for the Munitorium of the Empire. House Alda has full backing of the local Tech Priests of the nearby planet Iol which have allowed this influential House access to the Iol-Pattern Lasgun, as well as a number of tanks and equipment. Baron Aldus Alda is said to possess a large militia, equivalent to five full Imperial Guard heavy tank regiments. Though they claim that this is because they now control seven worlds in Shannedam County (Mysia, Caralis, Grosianus, Hamper, Yin, Ancona, Olisipio, Fager, and Ve'Fros), most see this as House Alda's bid for future control of the office of the Lord Sector, and those their troop movements are generally viewed with a great deal of suspicion by their neighbors in House Thoreson and the ruling family of House Sanguarelli.
House Kishihiro
Novuta Industries is controlled by Donatella Kishihiro, sometimes referred to as the Iron Sow. Like House Alda, Novuta Industries and the Kishihiro family control vast manufacturing and industrial bases, as well as a number of mineral worlds. House Kishihiro relies on subtlety and guile in its business dealings, though, and generally supplies hand-to-hand combat weapons and pistols to the military as well as being the largest producers of VOX casters, computational devices, medicae packs, and other support devices. Baroness Kishihiro was actually born to the Sanguarelli family and married Notaku Kishihiro and eventually wound up in charge of the family (after divorcing herself from the Sanguarellis). At present, Kishihiro controls Novuta, Crow Call, Inkit Lamp, Impulse, Rolunitru, and Tontrinas, though it is likely that the marriage of Yoshi Kishihiro to Baroness M'tubo will bring Deiop under Kishihiro control soon.
House Marioc-Tremnar[/u]
One of the most prominent and influential Houses in the Sector, House Marioc, which originated on Alactra in the Calixis Sector controls major stakes in a number of industries and families. Intermarried with the Tremnars who control the world of Yois, as well as the Singhs, the Mariocs control the vital corridor from Sparta, where they have complete control of Ingham Mining and Materiel, to Ciria, through Yois and Olisipio and over to Iol. Since the days of the Crusade, and the exploits of the Marioc's Pride and the Lady Malbec, House Marioc has oft been an example of diligence to the throne, though their cousins the Tremnars have almost as equally been the center of scandal. Houses Marioc and Tremnar are in an almost constant state of war with House Wulfe.
House Sanguarelli[/u]
The house that rules the roost in Shannedam County did not obtain that honor without sacrifice or cause. Though they maintain Tarraco as one of their holdings mainly due to the location of the Capital there, House Sanguarelli is spread out throughout the northernmost reaches of the County, controlling the important Forge Worlds of Rilus V, Ope'Diar, and Tiven as well as the mining worlds of New Janos, Moshelle, and, most recently, Turbanos. None of these match in importance to their possession of the holy Cardinal World of Ku Crassus, over which they have a role as protectors owing to their families close ties to the Adeptus Terra, the Ministorum, and the Cult of Saint Herastis the Pure. The House is ruled by Rosario Sanguarelli, and Cardinal Giovanni 'Batista' Sanguarelli controls all access to Ku Crassus with the aide of a batallion of Adepta Sororitas under the command of Abbess Ilista Pentaria. There is currently a debate within the family about the wisdom of maintaining Ferdinand in the position of Lord Sector, or transferring Antonius from Tiven to Tarraco to take control of the County.
House Singh
Controlling the three most vital food producing worlds in the sector, Henders, Wuj, and Defiance, as well as a number of minor world that produce exotic lumbers and textiles, House Singh is affluent but lacks the clout that the more industrialized houses have.
House Thoreson
Unlike the majority of the other houses, House Thoreson only really controls one inhabitable planet: Thaspus. As Baron of Thaspus, Reginald Thoreson controls one of the most beautiful and peaceful worlds in the Sector, but the star system that Thaspus inhabits is possibly the most crucial to Shannedam as it is the gateway into the heart of the Ultima Segmentum. It is the Orbital Works at Phorisin as well as the Shipyards at Iphigion, the Deep Space Manufactorum at Cleon, the massive Dry Docks and Repair Yards at Philus and Parus, and the Hephaeston Station at Palandar that have made Thoreson the most wealthy House in the County. Wheeling and dealing with major players from all five counties, and suppling weapons, systems, and components to almost every manufactorum in the Sector, House Thoreson is a force to be reckoned with. To showcase his disdain of House Alda, Reginald is currently courting Hypatia Arandopolous, Baroness of Messana in the dual hopes of gaining his old House some new blood as well as a new, resource rich, world that House Alda wants. Reginald's brother Bryan is married to Baroness Chun of Pisae, and his sister is married to Baron Gyles de Roche of Saguntum. Neither marriage has benefitted the House in any great way.
House Wulfe
The distaff branch of the larger House Wolfe in the Calixis Sector, House Wulfe rose to prominence during the early years of the Lupus Cluster Crusade. While there have been many implications of semi-heretical practices over the centuries, the Wulfes have always weathered the storm. Still, their fortunes have fallen considerably since their heyday, likely due to their ongoing feud with both House Marioc and House Tremnar, as well as IMM. Currently House Wulfe controls a half-dozens minor systems, none of which provide much in the way of profit for the House. While there has been no large-scale examination of the Wulfe bloodline, many suspect that there has been some form of genetic manipulation or mutation as the females of the House frequently give birth to triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets or larger 'litters'.

The Imperial Corporate Charters
Unlike many other sectors in the Empire, the Lupus Cluster has a requirement for Imperial Charters for all corporations introduced in this region of space. Ostensibly, the original reason was to prevent the local corporations from continuing to promulgate heretical, anti-Empire concepts, but the truth was that the discovery of a number of vital mineral deposits on many of the worlds in this reason made the Lord Solar and the High Lords of the Empire nervous about the leanings of corporate heads. In the early days of the Sector Government, Corporations were saddled with an Imperial Auditor who sat as COO of the corporation to ensure that all operations were conducted in strict accordance with Imperial doctrine, law, and dogma. The position of Auditor evolved into the Lupus Corps of Officiators, also called the Officario or Officariat. Every Corporation that has a charter must have an Officario on their Board of Directors.
There are a number of major Corporations in Shannedam County.
Border Worlds Exports
Better known as Bowex, Border Worlds Exports does a brisk factoring business with Rogue Trader Families who do not wish to develop trade routes in the Lupus Cluster itself. Though nowhere near as powerful as Hephaeston Station Corporation, Bowex still has a bit of clout. It is rumored that Bowex is looking to force Fager, the world that houses their Corporate headquarters, to secede from House Alda's control. If their plans are successful, then they will be better able to deal with the other noble houses in the Sector without Alda's interference. Of course, making an enemy of House Alda is not without its own problems.
Dolittle Industries
The planet Dolittle is the home of Dolittle Industries, the largest producer of pre-fabricated buildings in the Sector. Their motto, Do a Lot with Dolittle, can be found on structures throughout the Sector, and in many military structures out on the Frontier. It is rumored that Dolittle Industries is looking to establish itself as a greater power in Sector politics as Baron John Dolittle is currently attempting to woo Francesca Sanguarelli to get himself into that prestigious family. As an alliance with the Dolittles will not really aid in the ambitions of the Sanguarellis, it is unlikely that Baron Dolittle will get far in his courting.
Ingham Mining and Metals
Based in orbit of the Feral death world of Sparta Hill, Ingham Mining and Metals is slowly tearing the Lum system apart for its massive mineral wealth. Widely regarded as one of the greediest Chartered Corporations in the Sector, Ingham has long held that its services are so vital to Imperial Munitorium Production that it justifies its behavior. The massive refineries and smelters of IMM have poured so much detritus into the system that specially built Adeptus Mechanicus Cruisers have to clear paths through what have been dubbed the Sparta Smog Clouds. Each cloud is mapped and charted, with the Adeptus Cruisers maintaining navigation lanes through them. The system is routinely patrolled by members of House Marioc, which controls the entire system and owns a 90% stake in IMM, which was named after Ingham Wachs, a Seneschal on the Marioc's Endeavour who began the process of building the refineries and smelters in the system instead of bringing them to Hubble or Ciria for processing, cutting months off the transport time.
Kal-Tyr-Alco
During the great Interregnum, when the Lupus Cluster was cut off from the rest of the Empire by Emil Brax, a decision was made to abandon the Botanical Research colonies that had been founded on Kalapana, Tyra, and Alcove V. The inhabitants of these retained enough science and technology to remain in contact with each other, and it is widely rumored that the Empire's Crusade to re-take the Lupus Cluster was spurred on by contact with these worlds. The fact remains that when the Wolf Worlds were re-integrated into the Empire, these three Feral Worlds formed a combined Corporation and were given an immediate Charter. The descendants of the original scientists on all three worlds had discovered a number of miraculous herbal remedies and medicinal compounds on their inhospitable worlds, and thus Kal-Tyr-Alco is the largest pharmaceutical company in the Sector, and its exports can be found across the Empire.
Mannpower, Inc.
The time-honored tradition of slavery is still alive and well in the Lupus Cluster, though it takes a different guise in the form of Manpower, Inc. Manpower started its life as a simple work placement Corporation, shuttling workers from world to world to fill vacancies left by death or retirement with the best possible applicants. When they acquired the Outer Nebraska Penalty Corporation in late 39,355, Manpower found a new calling: using prisoners as cheap slave labor. Eventually, Manpower gave up its original business of job placement and invested all of its resources into its new Prison Placement Program. The 3P, as it is known, offers planetary governments a cheap alternative to maintaining their own prisons. Manpower will process the prisoners and make them available as needed for parole or trails for a small fee. Manpower then turns each prisoner over to one of its five prison planets (Outer Nebraska, Kroft, Violin III, Betz, and Jacob's Star) and forces them into a life of forced labor. Few prisoners ever emerge from the 3P without some kind of scars.
Planetform, Inc
Planetform is the greatest story of success and failure in the entire Sector. Millennia ago, Planetform was founded in an attempt to terraform several of the less pleasant planets in the Lupus Cluster. Starting with Saguntum III, Trader's Paradise, Caesar's Folly, and Gustaviv's Regret, the Company began long term experiments into turning these planets into paradises. While they achieved complete success on Trader's Paradise and Caesar's Folly, Gustaviv's Regret and Saguntum III are both complete disasters. It has taken centuries for Planetform to reach any stage of completion on either of its spectacular failures, and the fact that both have been unceremoniously turned into Hive Worlds does not bode well for future projects.
Xenophon-Yarulowski-Zapata Combine
Better known as either XYZ or the Combine, this is the largest of all of the Chartered Corporations Shannedam County (and probably the Sector). There is no industry that is not touched on by one of XYZ's innumerable divisions and operations. From their Company HQ on Mala, the Combine oversees operations on pretty much every single planet in the County, with the exceptions of Thaspus, Zama, and Mavinav. XYZ started its life as a chain of cheap eateries on Mala during the Interregnum, but their popularity spread like wild fire, and soon there were Zapatas Bistros throughout the Lupus Cluster. Their clout on Mala became so pronounced that they gained almost total control of the planet's elected government. Eventually they branched out into communications with the acquisition of Xenophon Broadcasting on Laua, and finally they burst into manufacturing with Yarowalski Assemblers on Newport. When the Crusade came, the Empire found this massive mega-corporation sitting like a giant puppeteer with strings leading to every planet in the sector. In exchange for the bloodless surrenders of Mala, Newport, Laua, Tayz, Anders, Cyclic, and Hubble, the Combine was granted an Amnesty by Inquisitor Denarius. Unfortunately, their appointed Auditor executed many of the principal members of the Combine, and XYZ spent the next few centuries rebuilding from the devastation. Now XYZ is as powerful as ever, and their reach extends into all levels of civilian life. It is almost impossible to purchase any product that has not been handled by XYZ at some stage in its life.
